This course is designed to support you at the start of your journey as a first-time manager by developing your management and leadership skills.

This short course starts on Tuesday 29th April 2025 at our King's Lynn campus and will run each Tuesday from 5:30pm - 8:30pm for ten weeks. It costs just £50 - a really affordable way to gain some real valuable CPD!

On the course you will learn about your preferred styles, how to develop a self-awareness, how to delegate and much more. 

By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge required to help set you on your journey to becoming a highly effective and inspiring leader. 

What will be covered during this course?

Week Description
1 Discover your preferred leadership style and learn how to develop self-awareness as a manager
2 Dive into the nuts and bolts of effective management by learning how to delegate tasks and how to make evidence-based decisions that drive success
3 Discover the importance of communication (telling vs. selling) and providing feedback that motivates staff. You'll also learn how to have difficult conversations with confidence
4 You'll explore the world of HR policies and procedures and how to manage your team fairly whilst also creating a positive workplace
5 You'll focus on motivation and learn how to inspire your team to reach new levels of effectiveness, even in the most challenging environments
