Lilly is currently undertaking her apprenticeship at Buttercups Pre-School, where she is gaining experience in caring for children, while building the knowledge and skills needed for a career in early years.
Her role involves planning and delivering learning activities and crafts for the children, as well as completing essential training in areas such as first aid, EAL (English as an Additional Language) and safeguarding, while also developing strong relationships with both children and their parents or carers.
Lilly chose the apprenticeship because she prefers a hands-on learning environment and values the opportunity to earn while she learns.
She said, “The support from my workplace, assessor and the College of West Anglia has been constant. I’d encourage anyone to come to CWA to study an apprenticeship because you’re supported whenever you need it. I plan to go on to complete my Level 3 apprenticeship.”
