Adults Vocational CoursesOur comprehensive Level 3 Dog Grooming course equips you with further knowledge and skills that lead on from the Level 2. Throughout the course, you'll explore a variety of breed standards and techniques including scissoring, hand-stripping and clipping. This course will also include elements of canine first aid and customer service skills necessary for working in a dog grooming salon.

Information on Fees and Financial Help
Depending on your age, course, educational history and personal circumstances, there may be options available for you to receive a course fully-funded by the government. Our fee calculator will help give you an idea on whether you'll be able to have your course fee waived or covered by an Advanced Learner Loan.
If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.
City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming
The assessment for this qualification will require you to achieve in: A written exam which covers the knowledge and understanding within the qualification. A practical assignment which covers health checks, first aid and grooming of dogs with different coat types and for different requirements.
