Dog Grooming - Level 3 (Diploma) - Part-time

The programme content includes:

• Health and Safety, legislation and code of practise for the grooming industry
• Preparing, styling, and finishing
• Health checking and handling
• Customer service and record keeping in a dog grooming environment

What day will the course be running?

• The course will run for one full day each week.

You will need:

• A Merit grade or above in all components of the Level 2 City & Guilds Dog Grooming Assistants course.

• A Grade 4 or above in GCSE English.

You will be invited to an interview to help us ensure the course is right for you.

Learners with an active Education, Health & Care Plan

If you are aged 19 - 24 at the start of your course and have an active Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP), any course up to and including level 3 will be fully-funded by the government. This means you will not have a course fee to pay and any equipment considered essential to complete your course will be provided by the college.

How is my course assessed?

The assessment for this qualification will require you to achieve in: A written exam which covers the knowledge and understanding within the qualification. A practical assignment which covers health checks, first aid and grooming of dogs with different coat types and for different requirements.
