Following completion of his construction operations college course, Reuben is now taking an apprenticeship with Kier, part of the Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Alliance with Anglian Water.

His apprenticeship involves gaining knowledge and practical experience in areas such as excavation, repairing water mains, stop taps and reinstatement, working safely as part of a team. Reuben attends college once a week, enjoying the extra training he receives.

He said, “With an apprenticeship, you get firsthand experience on site that prepares you for the real world of work, making good relationships with colleagues. If you’re thinking about doing an apprenticeship, it's worth it.”
