Work experience employer – Searles Leisure Group
Olivia chose to study a T-level after deciding that A-levels were not for her. College also offered a better ‘fit’ for her than 6th form. Olivia spends four days per week at CWA and one day doing work experience with Searles.
Olivia said, “The good thing about the T-level is that it is true to life and doesn’t just prepare you for exams. The exams are projects and what I would do in the workplace. The course has developed my understanding of what a business is, my research skills and how to summarise. I’m gaining confidence in meeting new people. I enjoy the work and the feedback I receive shows where I can clearly improve, which helps my progression. There is a link between what I learn at college and what I use in the workplace.”
Olivia plans to take an apprenticeship in leadership when she completes her T-level.
