Fred began his Uniformed Public Services course at CWA unsure of his career direction, knowing only that he wanted a future in public services. He quickly found the college’s independence, opportunities, and hands on learning both engaging and motivating. One of his favourite memories included representing CWA at the Public Services Competitions.
On completion of his course Fred went onto work for the National Citizen Service at CWA, during this time he was able to participate in several oversea volunteer placements in Uganda, Nepal and Kenya. Fred now works for the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service as a Firefighter, and is furthering his studies on a PHTLS, Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, course to further his skills when dealing with traumatic injuries.
‘CWA helped me massively with my next steps after education. I gained a huge amount of confidence while at CWA, which allowed me to take risks and push myself professionally’
