FMG Repair Services (FMGRS) are an automotive business which have 65 UK-wide repair centers across the UK. After recent changes to process for their Mobile Repair teams, FMGRS had an excess of paint and other repair materials. Instead of allowing these valuable resources to go to waste, they were able to donate all unwanted materials to the College of West Anglia, chosen for its close proximity to their central Mobile Repair hub in Wisbech.
Mark Elvin, Motor Vehicle Lecturer at the College of West Anglia, said: “We are very grateful for this opportunity. It means that there are more than enough products for the students to practice without the fear of running out.”
Mark Shaw, Head of Mobile Repair at FMGRS, said “We’re thrilled to be able to help local students and enhance their experience. Even more so as Neil, our Regional Mobile Repair Manager, was a previous student at the College of West Anglia! It was a great opportunity to give something back and see the products be put to good use, it would’ve been a real shame to see them discarded when there is a worthy practical use for them. We very much aim to seek out more opportunities like this in the future.”
