Staff and students from the College of West Anglia’s (CWA) King’s Lynn, Wisbech and Cambridge campuses held a series of events from 17th to 21st October to celebrate Colleges Week 2022.
The week-long celebration, run by the Association of Colleges (AoC), is a chance to celebrate and shout about all the brilliant things that colleges, do both internally and in the wider community, and an opportunity to call on government for better investment in colleges. The focus for this year’s week was to support Staff, Students and Skills.
Events ran throughout the week across all campuses, including a Love our Colleges CWA Quiz. Staff and students also supported the #GoRedForDyslexia campaign as part of Love Our Colleges week.
One of the activities was to invite students to share the love by giving the reasons why they loved their college. One student said they love college because, ‘It has helped me with my confidence and developed my skills’. Another commented, ‘Staff are friendly, easy to talk to and down to earth!’.
David Pomfret, Principal at CWA said:
' Every single day, colleges like the College of West Anglia provide a world class education and transform the lives of millions of people. Colleges Week is a celebration of all the amazing things colleges do, day in day out, for students, employers, and communities. It provides an opportunity to celebrate the brilliant impact of our colleges and a chance to showcase the brilliant staff that make it possible.'
