Course Description

This course is designed for those looking to develop their knowledge and skills within the sector and advance their career within a teaching and learning support role. During this NCFE Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning training course you will learn how to support teachers with the delivery of a school curriculum, while helping children to develop self-esteem, independence and abilities for learning.

This NCFE Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning training course is taught as a blended learning course, giving you the chance to put your knowledge into practice with a 200 hour work placement in an Ofsted regulated organisation with children between the ages of 6-19.

The learner is responsible for finding a suitable placement and the school needs to be on the college-approved database.
Entry Requirements
You will need:
- GCSE Grade 4 (C) or higher in English Language and Maths, as well as Science if you wish to progress into teaching. Functional Skills Level 2 and ESOL Level 2 are accepted as equivalent to a GCSE grade 4. Students with overseas qualifications will need to provide an ENIC Statement of Comparability to evidence they have the equivalent qualifications to the GCSE grades required.
- A satisfactory DBS check
- A minimum of 2 years experience of working in or volunteering in the schools sector either at Primary or Secondary level.
Ideally, applicants will have previously completed the Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning along with a number of professional CPD events.
