Searles Leisure Group is an independent family run business for over 83 years. Searles own and operate the award winning Searles Leisure Resort, Searles Sea Tours and Heacham Manor Hotel. They currently employ nine apprentices.

Mark Gooderson explained, “Apprenticeships are a benefit to us as we get to teach them ‘the Searles way’ and can tailor a training plan to the apprentice. The cost of the qualification is partly covered by funding. The apprentices are more motivated to learn as part of their qualification and retention is higher.

We chose CWA apprenticeship training as the College is close to us and they offer a diverse range of apprenticeships. They have a good reputation and the tutors are really engaging and motivating for the apprentices. The workshops are really good and come with positive feedback from the apprentices.”
