Mark Wilcox
Health and Safety Manager
G.T. Bunning & Sons Ltd is a well-established manufacturer of muck spreaders, servicing the farming communities of both domestic and export markets. They currently employ six apprentices.
Mark Wilcox explained, “Apprenticeships allow tailored training to address specific skills gaps. We also find our apprentices remain loyal members of staff. All apprentices are a huge asset to our company as they can be trained without any preconceptions. By working with the College, we develop a tailored training programme that suits all three parties (us, the College and the apprentice). This has been a cost-effective solution and has also helped us to create a more diverse skilled workforce.
The benefits of using CWA apprenticeship training are that the College is local for our business and the equipment and set up is fantastic. The tutors know the trade. I chose CWA as it was where I completed my apprenticeship many years ago and it provided me with everything I needed. I would recommend CWA to any businesses for apprenticeship training.”
