As part of the BTEC Travel and Tourism programmes we have arranged to take the students on a number of educational trips and visits during the forthcoming academic year.
Although dates and final arrangements have not yet been confirmed, it is planned that the trips will include those listed below although other visits may be added to this list as they arise. Additionally, in year 2 of the course, students will also be required to attend a 4-day/3night residential study visit.
Hunstanton – UK Destinations (Unit 3)
Banham Zoo (or similar) – Customer Service (Unit 4)
Welney Wetland Centre/True’s Yard – Visitor Attractions (Unit 15)
London overnight residential visit – British Airways S.E.P training day and visitor attraction/educational talk
The total cost of the visits this year will be £190 per student with a £20 deposit required to be paid by 22 September 2017. The visits are seen as a compulsory part of the teaching programme; they are all linked directly to assignments and assessments and include specialist talks and tours.
The £20 deposit for the trips is required to be paid by 22 September 2017 and the remaining balance to be paid by 20 October 2017.
